On Wednesday afternoon, December 18, 2024, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian departed Tehran for Cairo, the Egyptian capital, to participate in the 11th summit of the leaders of the eight developing Islamic countries, known as D-8. He was seen off by his First Vice President, Mohammad Reza Aref, in Tehran and welcomed by Egyptian officials and members of Iran’s interest section.
