The 24th Iran Media Expo kicked off in the capital Tehran on Sunday, February 18. Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mahdi Esmaili was present at the opening ceremony. The four-day event, in addition to covering sections related to newspapers and online media, has five special sections as well. The event will also see some 80 meetings to take place, with half of them specifically related to media. Also, media veterans will be commemorated, while training workshops will be held. Unveiling books on journalism and communications, and discussions on issues faced by the media sector are other programs at the ongoing expo in Iran.
