More than 30,000 flamingos have descended upon the wetlands of the National Park of Lake Urmia in northwestern Iran.
A significant portion of these wetlands had dried up last fall due to reduced rainfall and the depletion of river water. However, recent months have witnessed a complete restoration of water resources through the allocation of water rights. The return of these majestic birds to the revived wetlands has brought a vibrant burst of color and life to the region. (IRNA photos/ Ali Arsalani)
