Liberation of Khorramshahr in 1982

The photos taken by IRNA photographers show the last hours of the Khorramshahr liberation operation. The Liberation of Khorramshahr was Iran's recapture of the port city from the Iraqis on May 24, 1982, during the Iran-Iraq War. The Iraqis had captured the city early in the war on October 28, 1980.
