Dena is the state-of-the-art destroyer that has been developed and built by the defense forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The destroyer, which benefits from modern equipment, has succeeded in completing a global tour as part of an Iranian flotilla sailing in international waters.

Dena is capable of carrying various equipment designed for detection, identification and engagement.

The Navy's 86th Flotilla of Warships of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army consists of the Iran-made destroyer Dena and the IRIS Makran, which started sailing from Iran's Bandar Abbas Port in southern Iran in September last year and stopped at its first marine station in Mumbai, India. Then it passed through the Bay of Bengal and the Malacca Strait in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. Salalah port city in Oman was the last marine station of the Navy's 86th Flotilla of Warships before returning to Iran. The total distance traveled by the Iranian Navy 86th Flotilla of Warships so far has been about 65,000 kilometers and the Navy Group has crossed the equator four times.
