Hamas condemns ‘sadistic’ Israel after bodies of 14 medics are found in Gaza mass grave
Women mourn outside Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis as the bodies of Palestinian first responders who were killed a week before by Israeli military arrive at the facility, March 30, 2025.

Hamas says the Israeli regime’s killing of 14 medical personnel is part of the broader “brutal genocide” against civilians in Gaza.

Tehran, IRNA – The Palestinian resistance movement of Hamas has strongly condemned the “sadistic” Israeli regime after reports emerged that Israel executed 14 medical personnel in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement on Sunday, Hamas said the bodies of six members of the Civil Defense force and eight Palestinian Red Crescent paramedics, who had been missing for days, had been discovered “handcuffed and buried” in a mass grave in Rafah’s Tal al-Sultan neighborhood.

“This crime represents the largest act of mass targeting and deliberate killing of emergency medical personnel, and confirms that we are dealing with a criminal, sadistic enemy who is devoid of all human values,” the statement said.

It said the episode was part of Israel’s broader “brutal genocide” against civilians in the besieged Gaza Strip, while slamming the “disgraceful international silence” and the “political and military cover” provided for the occupying regime by the United States.

Hamas called on the international community to condemn the actions of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s “fascist government” and to hold Israeli leaders accountable in international courts for “crimes against humanity.”

A group of 15 paramedics and rescue workers disappeared in southern Gaza on March 22 after Israeli forces fired on their ambulances. In a statement on Sunday, the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that it had recovered the bodies of 14 paramedics killed in the Israeli attacks. It explained that eight of the bodies had been identified as PRCS members, five as members of Civil Defense, and one as a U.N. agency employee.

“The ninth paramedic is still missing and is believed to have been detained,” it added.
