The United States has carried out fresh airstrikes on Yemen, targeting multiple locations including the international airport in the coastal city of al-Hodeidah in the west.
According to Yemen’s al-Masirah TV channel, American warplanes carried out three separate airstrikes on Hodeidah International Airport on Saturday night. The media outlet did not report any casualty or damage from the strikes.
Lebanon-based Al Mayadeen news network also reported that airstrikes hit Al-Manzar area, south of al-Hodeidah city, while air raids targeted the Manzar directorate in northeastern Yemen.
In the meantime, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) shared a post on its official X page early on Sunday, showing two short videos of American fighter jets taking off from an aircraft carrier, one during the day, another at night.
The post, which was shared early on Sunday, also contained “24/7,” implying that the U.S. will continue strikes on Yemen round the clock.
Washington launched the latest wave of attacks on Yemen on March 15, four days after Yemen announced that it would stop the passage of any Israel-linked ship in the Red and Arabian Seas in a bid to pressure the regime to lift its blockade on the Gaza Strip.
Yemen made the announcement after Israel missed a four-day deadline set by Sana’a to lift the siege which has been in place since March 1, blocking the entry of all humanitarian aid into Gaza.
Yemen says the U.S.’s airstrikes on its soil are another measure by Washington to support the Israeli regime in its genocidal war on Gaza. Yemen also says the U.S. aggression will not deter it from supporting Palestine, and has in the past several days launched attacks on American warships, as well as positions inside Israel, including Ben Gurion airport.

‘Disastrous U.S. defeat’
USS Harry S. Truman was due to leave the West Asia Region at the end of March. But the U.S. military has ordered it to remain in the Red Sea for at least an additional month, while it has ordered two other aircraft carriers to be present there as well, according to Israeli media.
Reacting to the measure, the leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, which has been the driving force of Yemen’s pro-Palestine operations, said that the dispatch of two more aircraft carriers is indicative of the “disastrous defeat” of the United States in the face of Yemen.
Abdulmalik al-Houthi said that Yemen’s repeated targeting of USS Harry S. Truman has turned it into a danger for “the U.S. enemy,” while the aircraft carrier previously served as a symbol of power used by the U.S. to threaten other countries like China, Lebanon-based al-Ahed News reported on Sunday.
