The U.S. is complicit in ‘war of extermination’ in Gaza: Hamas

The White House acknowledged on Tuesday that it was consulted by Israel before it resumed the airstrikes and shelling in Gaza.

Tehran, IRNA – The Palestinian resistance movement says the United States’ advance knowledge of Israel’s deadly strikes on Gaza “confirms its direct partnership in the war of extermination” against the Palestinian people.

The White House acknowledged on Tuesday that it was consulted by Israel before it resumed the airstrikes and shelling in Gaza, which has left more than 400 Palestinians dead, including many children.

Abdul Latif Al-Qanou, a spokesperson for Hamas, said the acknowledgement “exposes the blatant American complicity and bias with the occupation.”

“With its unlimited political and military support for the occupation, Washington bears full responsibility for the massacres and the killing of women and children in Gaza,” he added.

The official said that the violation of the January ceasefire agreement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was aimed at imposing new terms for future negotiations.

Qanou added that Hamas has been fully committed to the agreement, while the occupying regime refused to move to its second phase. He called on the international community to press for putting an immediate end to the bloodshed in Gaza.

Sami Abu Zuhri, another senior member of Hamas, also said that the Israeli regime seeks to destroy the ceasefire agreement and impose a new agreement “written with the blood of the people of Gaza,” in which the surrender of resistance groups is ensured.

Noting that Netanyahu’s goal will not be achieved, he warned that this new round of aggression would lead to the “execution sentence” of Israeli prisoners.
