Since The courageous efforts of Dr. Francesca Albanese, the U.N. Special Rapporteur on Situation of Human Rights in Palestinian Territories occupied since 1967, have been instrumental in exposing the crimes and genocide of Israel in Gaza, the Center for Peace and Environment has decided to recognize her efforts and dedication in the 20th edition of the Dr. Taghi Ebtekar Award ceremony.

Your dedication and hard work and unwavering courage and advocacy in exposing this atrocity have made a significant impact for humanity, setting clear standards for just peace in today’s world.
Your commitment to justice and your dedication and determination to combat racism and genocide as reflected in your 2024 report “Genocide as colonial erasure” has set a beacon of hope in these difficult times for all humanity.
