U.N.'s Francesca Albanese awarded Taqi Ebtekar Prize for exposing Israel's genocide

The Center for Peace and Environment decides to recognize efforts and dedication of Dr. Francesca Albanese, the U.N. Special Rapporteur on  Situation of Human Rights in Palestinian Territories occupied since 1967 in the 20th edition of the Dr. Taghi  Ebtekar Award ceremony.

Since The courageous efforts of Dr. Francesca Albanese, the U.N. Special Rapporteur on Situation of Human Rights in Palestinian Territories occupied since 1967, have been instrumental in exposing the crimes and genocide of Israel in Gaza, the Center for Peace and Environment  has decided to recognize her efforts and dedication in the 20th edition of the Dr. Taghi  Ebtekar Award ceremony.

The full text of the letter awarding Dr. Albanese by the Center for Peace and Environment is as follows: 

Honorable Dr. Francesca Albanese,
UN Special Rapporteur on  Situation of Human Rights in Palestinian Territories occupied since 1967

The Center for Peace and Environment, for its 20th annual Dr.Taghi Ebtekar Award, has chosen you as International Laureate for the Award in 2025.

This award is in recognition for your exceptional efforts and contributions in reporting and documenting the horrific and shameful genocide in Gaza. Your dedication and hard work and unwavering courage and advocacy in exposing this atrocity have made a significant impact for humanity, setting clear standards for just peace in today’s world.  

Your commitment to justice and your dedication and determination to combat racism and genocide as reflected in your  2024 report “Genocide as colonial erasure” has set a beacon of hope in these difficult times for all humanity.

We deeply appreciate and support these efforts and look forward to your continued success and contributions.
