The Qatari Foreign Minister, who has traveled to the Iranian capital city of Tehran, met and held talks with Araghchi on Monday.
Referring to the good trade and economic potential of two countries, Araghchi expressed Iran's interest in cooperating with Qatar, particularly through the Joint Economic Commission, to witness a new leap and positive momentum in ties.
The top Iranian diplomat also thanked the Qatari government for its constructive efforts in addressing important regional issues, especially in halting the war and establishing a ceasefire in Gaza.
Pointing to the Zionist approach to intensify tension and expand the circle of war and conflict in the region, he highlighted that the Islamic Republic of Iran thanks Qatar's efforts to immediately stopping the war and the crimes of the Zionists against the oppressed people of Palestine and welcomes the establishment of a ceasefire in the Gaza.
He highlighted Iran's support for any agreement accepted by the Palestinian resistance and Hamas.
Meanwhile, the Qatari diplomat congratulated Araghchi on his appointment and expressed determination to continue cooperation to achieve common goals and strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani also provided an update on Qatar's diplomatic efforts to end the war and establish a ceasefire in Gaza, calling for continued consultations to promote stability and security in the region and help the Palestinian people.
The top Qatari diplomat is also scheduled to meet with Iran's new president, Masoud Pezeshkian, in his visit to Tehran.
The Qatari Foreign Minister's trip to Tehran is the first official visit since the formation of the 14th government in Iran.
