Tehran, IRNA – The United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR) observed a minute of silence to honor President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, and other Iranian officials who were martyred in a helicopter crash on May 19 in northwestern Iran.
The crash occurred in a mountainous region of East Azarbaijan province.
Earlier, the United Nations General Assembly also paid tribute to the late Iranian president by observing a minute of silence.
Additionally, representatives from several countries attended funeral processions held in Iran on Thursday and Saturday to commemorate President Raisi and his entourage.
