Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Minister of Road and Urban Development Mehrdad Bazrpash has said that Tehran and Islamabad have signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) on transportation areas, including expansion of border terminals and increasing direct flights.

Bazrpash, who leads a joint economic cooperation commission between Iran and Pakistan, accompanied President Ebrahim Raisi in a visit to Islamabad.

Speaking on Monday on the sidelines of a ceremony where eight different cooperation documents were signed by the two neighboring countries, the minister said that different types of maritime, air, road and rail transportation cooperation were discussed by officials from both sides.

He also referred to agreements for expansion of border terminals and increasing the number of direct flights between Tehran and Islamabad, as well as those operating between Tehran and Lahore or Mashhad and Lahore.
