According to the IRNA correspondent, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch during her weekly news conference in Islamabad on Friday, however called for de-escalation of tension in West Asia and demanded effective action by the international community to stop Israel's crimes in Gaza.
Recalling Pakistan's condemnation of Israel's airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Zahra called the attack “reckless and irresponsible”, saying it aggravated the situation.
Pakistan also wants an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, an end to Israeli attacks and the blockade of the Gaza Strip, and the unhindered flow of humanitarian aid to the oppressed Palestinians, she said.
She urged the UN Security Council and its members to adhere to their responsibility and hold Israel accountable for its aggression in the region and the genocide of the Palestinians.
The Pakistani spokesperson also touch on the upcoming visit of Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi to Islamabad.
"Pakistan is looking forward to President Raisi’s visit and we are determined to host him as we are warm to our esteemed guest”, she added.
