Pro-Palestine activists shut San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge

Tehran - IRNA - Pro-Palestinian demonstrators blocked the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco in the United States, stopping traffic completely and causing travel chaos for hours.

The pro-Palestinian group "A15 Action" announced in a statement that it is coordinating demonstrations in several cities in the United States and other countries in solidarity with Palestine, IRNA quoted US media reports in the early hours of Tuesday.

In every city, we will identify and block commercial highways, focusing on production and tourism with the aim of creating the greatest economic impact, the group's statement further stated, adding that similar action is planned for elsewhere such as Mexico City, Ho Chi Minh City, Sydney, Athens, New York and Johannesburg,

Demonstrators blocking traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge held a banner reading "Stop the World for Gaza".

It was also stated in the statement that this unprecedented movement in support of Palestine would have practical effects and cause economic problems, so that the governments of the world would think of finding a practical solution to end the war on Gaza.

Monday's protests came as e West Asia faces some of its most dangerous moments in six months, including Israel’s ongoing genocidal war on Gaza and Iran’s strikes on Israeli targets in response to the regime’s attack on the Iranian embassy in Syria.

Demonstrations on Monday also blocked the freeway leading to Chicago's O'Hare International Airport for hours.

According to IRNA, hundreds of pro-Palestine protesters gathered at Francisco International Airport and demanded an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the end of all US military aid to the Zionist regime.

Since the start of the Zionist regime's attack on Gaza, the United States has regularly witnessed protests in solidarity with Palestinians.
