During the phone conversation, Zardari congratulated the Islamic President of Iran, the government and the people of Iran on the arrival of Eid al-Fitr.
President Zardari assured President Raisi that Pakistan will continue to work closely with Iran in all areas of mutual interest and strengthen it further.
He also emphasized the need to increase the exchange of information to overcome the security challenges of the two countries.
The president of Pakistan invited President Raisi to visit Pakistan.
Zardari also expressed his condolences and sincere sympathy to the Iranian statesmen and the bereaved families who lost their loved ones in the attack of the Israeli regime on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus.
Expressing his concern about the humanitarian crisis and the genocide of Palestinians by the Israeli occupying forces, he called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
