According to IRNA, Khosravinejad had served in several diplomatic and executive positions before being assigned to the new jobs at the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Khosravinejad’s career portfolio includes the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sierra Leone, the head of the African Institutions Department and the head of the West Africa Department.
His appointment at the ministry comes just weeks before a second international meeting between Iran and Africa will be held in Tehran with the participation of representatives and economic ministers of more than 30 African countries.
