Iran extends condolences to government and people of Kazakhstan over  deadly flood

Tehran, IRNA - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani extended Iran's condolences to the government and people of Kazakhstan for the occurrence of floods in large areas of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the resulting human and material losses.

In a message, Kanaani expressed his feelings and regrets over the occurrence of this unfortunate natural disaster, and expressed the sympathy of the government and people of Iran with the government and people of this friendly and neighboring country.

According to IRNA, Kazakhstan and also the Orenburg region of Russia have faced serious consequences due to spring floods in recent days.

According to the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassem Jomart Tokayev, "This is the biggest disaster in terms of its scale and consequences in the last 80 years in this country."
