Karaj, IRNA – Police in the Iranian province of Alborz have announced the arrest of a senior member of the Daesh terror group and several others in that province which lies near the capital Tehran.
The announcement was made on Saturday. A provincial police spokesman said that senior Daesh member in Alborz Mohammad Zaker, known as Ramesh, and two more people were arrested in the city of Mahdasht near the provincial capital of Karaj.
The spokesman added that the terrorists had intended to carry out suicide attacks during Eid al-Fitr holidays which will fall on the coming Wednesday and Thursday in Iran.
