In a post on his X account on Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani censured the occupying regime’s deadly strike on the aid convoy of the World Central Kitchen (WCK) in Gaza’s Deir el-Balah.
“This atrocity once again confirms the fact that the occupying Zionist regime is still insisting on its organized and deliberate imposition of hunger, famine and massacre of civilians, international aid teams and staff of humanitarian organizations,” he wrote.
Kanaani said the deliberate attack on the aid convoy of the World Central Kitchen (WCK), which is responsible for distributing food aid among the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, needs to be condemned internationally.
Such an inhumane approach obviously indicates that the Israeli regime does not abide by any international humanitarian and moral principles, he stated.
Undoubtedly, such organized crimes will increase global hatred and anger toward the regime and its advocates, he said, adding that these acts will more than before determine world nations to support the oppressed Palestinian nation in the face of Israeli oppressors.
The WCK said Tuesday that it was “devastated to confirm” that seven people working with the NGO had been killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza.
“This is not only an attack against WCK, this is an attack on humanitarian organizations showing up in the most dire of situations where food is being used as a weapon of war,” WCK CEO Erin Gore said in a statement. “This is unforgivable.”
