-- Rogue regime should pay the price

The Israeli regime on Monday attacked the Consular Section of the Iranian embassy in the Syrian capital of Damascus killing at least 7 people including General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a senior commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps Quds Force.

Iran's Ambassador to Damascus, Hossein Akbari, verified the reports of the Israeli assault and stated that Israeli warplanes had fired six missiles at the consular building.

Ambassador Akbari mentioned that seven individuals lost their lives in the Israeli attack, although the identities and precise number of casualties remain undisclosed.

-- Ruholamin dedicates new painting to martyred girls of Gaza in gesture of solidarity

Iranian artist Hassan Ruholamin has honored the memory of martyred sisters and girls of Gaza by dedicating his latest work, entitled "Mizan," to them.

Accompanying the artwork, Ruholamin shared a poignant poem by Ali Moalem Damghani about Imam Ali (AS), which resonates: "Open your eyes! The image of a man remains with an empty cup/ The tulip burned, Layla died, the cypress dried up from grief. Sometimes ignorance remains, and knowledge remains from ignorance. Open your eyes, O beloved, O the intoxicating cupbearer, Ali! The mirror of existence has darkened from both excess and scarcity, Ali!"

The new painting captures Imam Ali (AS) strolling through a street, wielding his renowned sword, Zulfiqar. Last year, Ruholamin commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (AS) with his canvas entitled “The Candle of Bayt al-Mal”.

-- Iran stresses need for FTA to boost trade with Syria

An official at the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPO) said that implementation of a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Iran and Syria would beef up the mutual trade to a great extent.

The FTA between Tehran and Damascus was signed 13 years ago but it has not yet been implemented, Mahdi Zeyghami said, calling for efforts to accelerate the implementation of the agreement and spur the bilateral trade and economic activities.

Stating that Iran currently hold about a 10 percent share of Syria’s market, the deputy minister of industry said, “It is predicted that Iran will export $500 million worth of products to this Arab country in the current Iranian calendar year (that started on March 20).”

--Army to Unveil New Missile, Drone Systems

The commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Defense Force (IRIADF) says the Army will unveil a new generation of missile and drone systems in the current Persian calendar year. The new-generation military hardware enjoys “up-to-date and advanced capabilities”, Brigadier General Ali-Reza Sabahifard said on the southern island of Jask. Iran produces drones capable of carrying surgical-strike missiles with a range of 2,000 kilometers (1242 miles). The aircraft also boast stealth and radar jamming capabilities as well as flight endurance of up to 24 hours.

--Iran-Arab Naval Parade on Eve of Quds Day

Iran and a number of Arab countries will hold simultaneous naval parades in their territorial waters to demonstrate unflinching support for Palestinians.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy commander Rear Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri said thousands of vessels from Iran and other members of the Axis of Resistance, including Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen, will take part in the parades on the eve of the International Quds Day.

More than 3,000 light and heavy vessels of the IRGC Navy, the Basij volunteer force will partake in the parades to voice support for the Palestinian cause, he said.

--Knowledge-Based Companies Boost Iran’s Power Generation Capacity

An official at Iran’s Thermal Power Plants Holding Company said the electricity generation capacity in the country’s thermal power plants increased by over 965 megawatts in the previous Iranian year with the assistance of domestic knowledge-based companies.

The electricity generation capacity of Iran’s power plants increased by more than 965 megawatts last year with the implementation of projects to boost the power of gas-fired and combined-cycle power plants and remove restrictions in the steam power units in cooperation with the local knowledge-based companies, Esmaeil Namazi said.

--Leader: Palestinian resistance in Gaza will bring Israel to its knees

Leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said the resistance and steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip will bring the Israeli regime to its knees.
Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with Qur’an reciters and memorizers on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan in the capital Tehran on Tuesday.
“Today, what is coming to pass in Gaza is the apex of crime, malice and brutality,” the Leader said as he pointed to the 158th day of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza.
“The [Palestinian] resistance is still standing strong and will bring the Zionists to their knees.”
The Leader also said it is a disgrace to Western civilization that Israel has committed unprecedented crimes in Gaza, such as the killing of children and babies through starvation and thirst.
“Although the Zionists have all kinds of weapons and aid coming from the United States and the West, they have not been able to do anything whatsoever in the face of the unique patience of the people of Gaza and the resilience of resistance fighters.”

--Iranian wrestler Zare’ tops UWW superheavyweight ranking

Freestyle wrestler Amirhossein Zare’ is the only Iranian to stand atop his respective weight class in the latest United World Wrestling Rankings.
The reigning world champion Zare’ pipped Georgian great Geno Petriashvili – beaten by the Iranian in last September’s world final – to the top spot of the 125kg class, with American Mason Parris and Taha Akgül of Turkey following the top two respectively.
A glorious five months saw Zare’ add the Asian Games gold to his world crown in October before he came out on top against fellow-Iranian Amir-Reza Ma’soumi in the final in the season-opening Zagreb Open Ranking Series event in January to secure his place in the country’s squad heading to the Paris Olympics in August.
