The protesters gathered at the holy shrine of Hazrat Ma’sumeh -- the sister of the eighth Shia imam, Imam Reza (AS) -- to show their resentment at the Israeli regime for its crimes including those in Gaza’s Al-Shifa Hospital.
They call for action by the international community to help end the Israeli crimes, with one protester telling IRNA correspondent that keeping silent on the atrocities is regarded as an act of treason.
Other Iranian cities, including Tehran, Mashhad, and Tabriz were also the scenes of anti-Israel and pro-Palestine demonstrations on Sunday.
The new crimes committed by the Zionists, especially at Al-Shafa Hospital and the attack on the southern Gaza city of Rafah, have provoked the anger of people around the world.
