According to a report cited by IRNA, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades said that its fighters targeted a personnel carrier of the Zionist regime near Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City with a Yassin-105 rocket.
It also announced targeting 3 Israeli tanks with rockets and Showaz anti-armor explosives, killing and wounding a number of Israeli soldiers in a separate operation near the hospital.
A few hours ago, al-Qassam fighters also shelled the positions of the Zionist soldiers around Al-Shifa, a medical complex that in under siege following its storming by Israeli forces last week.
Israeli captive dies
Meanwhile, Abu Obeidah, spokesman of al-Qassam announced on Saturday night the death of one of the Israeli captives due to lack of medicine and food.
A telegram message quoted by Palestine's Sama news agency named the Israeli captive as 34-year-old Yejiv Bukhattaf.
“We previously warned that enemy captives suffer from the same conditions as our people; hunger, deprivation, shortages of food and medicine, and that illness now threatens the lives of many of them,” Obeidah said in a short video message.
“Although he survived the attacks of the Israeli army, he was not spared from the lack of food and medicine”, he added.
