Congratulations pour in over Putin’s re-election

Tehran, IRNA- Iran’s president Ebrahim Raisi congratulated his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on his victory in the election that extended his term to another six-year, making him the longest-serving leader in the post-Soviet era.

In his message, Raisi felicitated Putin’s landslide win and his re-election as the president of the Russian Federation.

According to a statement by Iran’s embassy in Moscow, Raisi expressed his satisfaction with the growing relations between Iran and Russia and emphasized the need to boost cooperation further.

Several countries have extended their gratitude to Putin.

Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on his victory.

In a message to the Russian President, bin Salman wished him and the Russian people success, well-being and progress.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also congratulated his Russian counterpart.In a phone call with Erdogan told Putin about the need to grow stronger ties between the two countries.

Ella Pamfilova, the chair of the electoral commission, announced on Monday that some 87.1 million Russians participated in this round of presidential election in Russia, which was historic record for the voter turnout.

Vladimir Putin won over 87% of the votes and re-elected for the fifth time to serve the country as president.
