Iran VP hails South Africa's genocide case against Zionist regime at ICJ

New York, IRNA - Iran's Vice President for Women and Family Affairs Ensiyeh Khazali has appreciated the South African government for raising the genocide case against the Israeli regime at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), expressing hope that with the practical support of other countries the tragic situation in Palestine to be stopped.

On the sidelines of the 68th annual session of the Commission on the Status of Women in New York, US, Khazali met and held talks with Minister of Social Development in South Africa Lindiwe Zulu on Saturday.

Referring to the friendly ties between Iran and South Africa, Khazali said that after signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two countries, the practical measures will accelerate the improvement of the status of women and promote cooperation in the fields of economy, arts and crafts education, family education, and digital jobs.

Lindiwe Zulu expressed her country's support for the people of Gaza and emphasized the importance of establishing world peace.

She also stressed that achieving a world free from violence and war requires the will of countries.
