Leader's Nowruz speech slated for March 20 at Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah

Tehran, IRNA - Due to Nowruz [the first day of the Iranian New Year] falling in the holy month of Ramadan, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei's Nowruz speech on March 20, 2024 will not be held in the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad this year.

This ceremony will be held on Wednesday, the first of Farvardin, 1403 AHS (March 20, 2024), in the Imam Khomeini  Hussainiyah in Tehran in the presence of various sectors of the people.

It is worth noting that in the early 70s (1991 – 1993 AD) when Nowruz fell in the holy month of Ramadan, as well as during the Corona pandemic, the Leader of the Revolution did not give his New Year speech in the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) either.
