Hamas calls for breaking siege of Al-Aqsa Mosque

Tehran, IRNA - The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, has issued a statement urging Palestinians to break a siege imposed by the Israeli regime, which prevents the entry of the Palestinian people into the Al-Aqsa Mosque in al-Quds city.

Shehab news reported that Hamas emphasized: "We ask the Palestinian nation residing in the West Bank to go to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in order to nullify the security measures imposed by the occupying regime and foil their plots."

"We call on the residents of the West Bank to confront the occupying regime in support of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the steadfast Palestinians in the Gaza Strip," the movement added.

The Israeli regime has started intensifying security measures around the Al-Aqsa Mosque and some districts near the holy shrine and preventing Palestinian youths’ entry into the site.

The Tel Aviv officials are concerned about the potential initiation of a new Intifada and the escalation of daily clashes in the West Bank.

The resistance group also congratulated an anti-Israeli operation at a checkpoint in Beit Lahm, calling for the escalation of confrontations against the occupying regime.

Two Israeli occupiers were injured in a stabbing attack by a Palestinian teenager on Wednesday morning.

Israeli media outlets reported that the 13-year-old Palestinian, who attacked Israelis, was shot dead by the occupying forces.
