Iran’s new envoys to France, Tunisia meet FM Amirabdollahian

Tehran, IRNA - Iran’s new ambassadors to France and Tunisia have separately met with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian before departing Tehran to start their diplomatic missions.

Mir-Masoud Hosseinian, Iran's new ambassador to Tunisia, and the newly appointed envoy to France, Mohammad Amin-Nejad, presented copies of their credentials to Amirabdollahian on Wednesday.

Receiving Hosseinian, the foreign minister stressed the need to deepen bilateral relations with Islamic countries, including Tunisia, in different areas and wished the new ambassador success on his new mission.

Hosseinian presented a report to Amirabdollahian, outlining his plans for his new diplomatic post in Tunisia.

The foreign minister also met Amin-Nejad on Wednesday before the ambassador departs for France. Amirabdollahian said opportunities existed that could be used to expand political and economic relations between Iran and France.

Amin-Nejad updated the foreign minister on the latest status of relations between Iran and France and presented a report about his plans on how he is going to work to further help develop the bilateral ties.
