Iran, Sierra Leone call for broadening economic ties

New York, IRNA - Iran’s Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs Ensiyeh Khazali, and Sierra Leone's Minister of Gender and Children's Affairs Isata Mahoi have urged broadening economic ties between the two countries.

On the sidelines of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in New York, Khazali and Mahoi had a meeting on Tuesday and discussed expanding mutual ties between Iran and Sierra Leone, particularly in the economic field.

Khazali highlighted the atrocities committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza and questioned its position in the Commission on the Status of Women, arguing that a regime that kills and plunders women cannot make the right decisions for them.

She expressed her hope that all countries would collaborate to take action against the Zionist regime.

Mahoi, for her part, welcomed the expansion of cooperation with Iran and expressed her hope that countries would work together to end the suffering of the people of Gaza.
