Iran among top five countries in aerospace field

Iran is among the top five countries in the world in the field of aerospace, said the head of the Iran Aviation and Space Industries Association (IASIA), Davoud Najafipour.
The first Aerospace Industry Exhibition was held with the participation of 120 Iranian companies in the special economic zone of Payam International Airport, in northern Alborz Province. The industrial manufacturers and knowledge-based companies showcased their products and capabilities during the three-day event which wrapped up on Saturday.

--  Moin-Amirjahed house museum: fusion of literature, music, calligraphy in eastern Tehran

The house museum of famous lexicographer Mohammad Moin and Mohammad Ali Amirjahed stands as a tribute to two departed Iranian luminaries in the fields of music and Persian literature. Today, this location is recognized as a specialized center for music, literature, and calligraphy.

Mohammad Moin
Born in 1918 in the Zarjoob neighborhood of Rasht, Mohammad Moin (circa 1918-1971) remains a prominent figure known for producing one of the most significant Persian dictionaries ‘Moin Encyclopaedic Dictionary’. He was the first Iranian doctorate graduate from the University of Tehran and received accolades in literature and arts from France. His contributions were acknowledged with the Literary and Decorative Arts Academy Award in France.

--  Curtains down on 13th Tehran International Animation Festival

The 13th Tehran International Animation Festival (TIAF) concluded on March 7 at the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA).
The closing ceremony, attended by various dignitaries, including Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaeili, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, and Reza Morad-Sahraei, the Education Minister, awarded the festival’s winners.

-- Oman, Iran Urge Muslim Action to Stop Israeli Genocide

The foreign ministers of Iran and Oman have called on Muslim countries to make collective efforts to put an immediate end to Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
In their phone conversation, Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian and his Omani counterpart Sayyid Badr Al-Busaidi pointed to the recent resolution of an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)’s foreign ministers in the Saudi city of Jeddah and stressed the need to dispatch humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Iran is now among the leading five countries in the field of manufacturing super heavy methanol synthesis reactors, thanks to the sustained and all-out efforts being made by its domestic experts and specialists at knowledge-based firms.
The notable achievement was put on display at Machine Sazi Arak (MSA) industrial machinery and equipment manufacturing corporation in Iran’s central city of Arak on Saturday.

--  Ministry: Exports of Food, Agricultural Products Grow 23%

Iran’s export of food and agricultural products in the 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2023) registered a 23-percent growth compared to the same period last year, an official said.
Iran exported about $5.6 billion of livestock, fishery, agricultural, and food products from March 21, 2023, to February 22, 2024, showing a 23% hike compared to the same period last year, the spokesman of the Trade Promotion and International Affairs of Iran’s House of Industry, Mine and Trade noted.

--  19th IAWRT Asian Women’s Film Festival underway with focus on Iranian short films

-The 19th IAWRT Asian Women’s Film Festival is underway at the India International Center in New Delhi, with a special section dedicated to short films from Iran.

The gala, organized by the International Association of Women in Radio & Television (IAWRT), has selected six short fiction films from Iran, shown in the section titled Focus on Iran.

--  Transport Ministry outlines 3 major strategies of PMO in upcoming year

 Iran’s Transport and Urban Development Minister Mehrdad Bazrpash has outlined three major strategies for the Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) to pursue in the next Iranian calendar year, which begins on March 20. As reported by the portal of the ministry, the development of a maritime-based economy, the development of maritime transit, and logistics management are the main strategies that the PMO is going to pursue in the upcoming year.

According to Bazrpash, with the implementation of these three strategies in the next year, the role of commercial ports will become more effective in the country's economy.

--  Media influences from China tour Silk Road heritage in Semnan province

 A delegation of Chinese media influencers recently visited cultural heritage sites along segments of the ancient Silk Road situated within Iran’s Semnan province.

It was the first-ever Silk Road familiarization tour being conducted for such media personnel from China, CHTN reported.

The Silk Road (aka Silk Roads), an ancient network of trade routes connecting the East and West, holds profound historical and cultural significance. It served as a conduit for the exchange of goods, ideas, and cultures between civilizations spanning thousands of miles.
