The Zionist military said that 43-year-old Major Amishar Ben David was killed in southern Gaza.
He belonged to the Israeli settlement Eli in the occupied West Bank and was the head of the Commando Brigade’s forward command team.
Israel’s Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich also revealed on Saturday evening that Ben David was his cousin, mourning his loss in an X post.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas resistance movement ambushed a group of invading troops in the north of the city of Khan Yunis on Friday.
Ben David is the 248th soldier the regime has confirmed killed since Israel’s ground invasion of the besieged territory.
According to the Zionist regime's army, since the start of the Al-Aqsa Storm operation on October 7th of last year, more than 588 soldiers have been killed and over 3,000 more have been wounded.
