Behbahani died due to illness on Saturday.
He was born in Shiraz on January 14, 1941, and held a BS in civil engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology and a M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Florida.
Behbahani was the head of the civil engineering department at Iran University of Science and Technology.
In the condolence message, Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mehrdad Bazrpash expressed sympathy with the family and colleagues of Behbahani.
