In reaction to sanctioning the Chief Executive of the Tehran metro system and a senior woman parliamentarian in the Majlis by Canada, Kanaani strongly condemned the Canadian government's fresh sanctions on Iranian individuals.
Kanaani added that such measures by Canada are motivated by political and propaganda goals, and in line with the country's selective approach to Iran's human rights issues.
