Deputy Foreign Minister of the Hamas government Ghazi Hamad said the Israeli regime proposes inapplicable conditions during the negotiations and does not show enough seriousness to reach an agreement.
He also argued that the war cabinet of the occupying regime is willing to continue the war and massacre in Gaza and pays no attention to the prisoners and their families.
However, he went on, Hamas will continue the negotiations until achieving a noble agreement, which will secure the cessation of war, withdrawal of occupying forces, reconstruction of Gaza, and return of refugees.
Given the increase in hunger in the Gaza Strip, international parties have imposed pressure on the Israeli regime, he said, adding that Hamas calls for more pressure on the regime to open routes for the delivery of humanitarian aid into Gaza by land and sea.
Husam Badran, a member of the Hamas political bureau, had earlier ruled out any possible ceasefire prior to the holy month of Ramadan, arguing that the Israeli regime rejected Palestinians’ proposals during the recent Cairo talks.
Badran said that Hamas will continue intense negotiations at the internal level to reach a consensus on this issue. However, he emphasized that the Palestinian resistance movement would not give any concession to the occupying regime.
