-- President launches several projects in Khuzestan

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi inaugurated several projects in the southwestern province of Khuzestan during a visit to the province on Friday.

In the city of Shushtar, “New Smart Subsurface Irrigation” was put into operation with the presence of the president in the Karoun Agricultural and Industrial Complex. The project has been carried out in the country for the first time.

--  Pakistan: No grounds for US objection to gas pipeline project with Iran

Pakistan has dismissed the United States’ objection to its decision to start work on a joint pipeline project between the country and Iran, with its Foreign Ministry spokesperson saying it had decided to initiate work on an 80-kilometer-long segment of the pipeline.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said at a weekly briefing on Thursday that there is “no room for any objections” from a third party like the United States since the project was being constructed within Pakistani territory.

--  Iran indigenizes 80% of oil equipment: Deputy Minister

Iran’s deputy oil minister said the country has succeeded in manufacturing 80 percent of oil parts and equipment domestically despite being under sanctions.
The Iranian Oil Ministry has focused on taking advantage of the expertise and technical know-how of knowledge-based companies, Jalil Salari said, emphasizing that more than 80 percent of the oil equipment is manufactured in the country.

-- Iran Reserves Right to Respond to Zionist Threats

Iran’s permanent ambassador to the United Nations has warned against Israel’s “military adventurism” in the region, noting that Tehran reserves the “inherent” right to respond to threats and attacks originating from the regime.
In a letter to the United Nations Antonio Guterres and the rotating president of the UN Security Council (UNSC) Yamazaki Kazuyuki on Thursday, Iran’s UN envoy Amir Saeid Iravani rejected the Israeli allegations and threats.

-- Iranian Toy Companies Attend Kids Russia Fair

A group of Iranian toy companies took part in Kids Russia 2024 fair in Moscow for four days with the support of the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy.
The Kids Russia was the most promising and fast-growing exhibition of toys, children’s products, hobbies and leisure activities.
The exhibition focused exclusively on manufacturers and distributors of children’s goods. It provided a unique combination of a huge range of products, targeted industry information and know-how, numerous opportunities for business communications. -- Iran Issues Fresh Warning Against Kuwait Over Arash Gas Field Row

Iran says it believes in ‘integrated and joint’ extraction with Kuwait and Saudi Arabia from the disputed Arash gas field in the Persian Gulf, warning Tehran will start drilling in the field if Kuwait does so.
The Iranian Vice President for Legal Affairs Muhammad Dehghan reiterated on Thursday that the ownership dispute should be resolved through dialogue.

-- Iran’s ambassador to Azerbaijan warns against foreign involvement in Caucasus issues

 In a recent diplomatic development, the Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan has emphasized the need to stop other countries from meddling in the regional issues.

Emphasizing the regional ramifications, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi highlighted the pressing challenges faced by countries in the region, specifically addressing the formidable impact of the West's goals and ambitions.

--  Esteghlal, Persepolis victorious in PGPL

 Esteghlal and Persepolis football teams emerged victorious against their opponents in the 2023/24 Iran Persian Gulf Professional League (PGPL) on Friday. Esteghlal edged past struggling Esteghlal Khuzestan 1-0 in Ahvaz thanks to a goal from Gustavo Blanco in the 41st minute.

Esteghlal remained top of PGPL with 42 points, three points ahead of Persepolis, who came back from 2-1 down to beat Foolad 4-2 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium earlier in the day.

--  Sepehr, Jofeir oil fields to go operational soon: NIOC

The head of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) said on Thursday that Sepehr and Jofeir fields in the southwest of the country will become officially operational soon, Shana reported. Mohsen Khojasteh-Mehr said the national project for the development of the two fields, situated in the West Karoun region, is underway based on a 20-year 2.8-billion-dollar contract and will be put into operation with a daily output of 50,000 barrels.

The NIOC head praised the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) as the operator of the project, describing it as a symbol of a homegrown company.
