The MoU between IRNA and Anadolu Agency was inked on the sidelines of the 52nd meeting of the Executive Board of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) in Tokyo, Japan, on Friday.
The MoU calls for exchanging news, photos, and cooperation in technical areas as well as setting up joint media projects.
Founded in 1961, OANA is Asia's largest coalition of news agencies, with 42 news agencies from 35 countries.
The 52nd meeting of OANA is hosted by Japanese news agency Kyodo. IRNA will be the rotating head of OANA until 2025.
