President Raisi wrote a message, which was read in the ceremony commemorating Sayyed Jamal al-Din Assad Abadi (1838-1897) in Hamedan on Wednesday, emphasizing that the great figure promoted Islamic unity and reform in different Muslim countries.
From Iran and Afghanistan to Egypt and Hijaz as well as Rome and Paris, Sayyed Jamal al-Din Assad Abadi promoted the ideal of Islamic unity and equality, Raisi noted.
According to the president’s message, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei had said that Sayyed Jamal al-Din Assad Abadi did not try to defend Islam, but he bombarded Western thinking, culture, and civilization based on his Islamic stance to force the Westerners to defend themselves.
