Gaza aid being spoiled due to Israeli regime restrictions: Iran Red Crescent

Tehran, IRNA – Head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society Pir-Hossein Koulivand has said that international aid bound for war-hit Gaza is being spoiled in warehouses as the Israeli regime is preventing assistance from reaching the besieged Palestinian territory.

“Only 25% of international aid enters Gaza. The occupying Zionist regime, by preventing the entry of humanitarian assistance, has caused more than 75% of the aid to be spoiled”, Koulivand said on Thursday as he addressed an international conference in Tehran, which discussed the occupation of Palestine from a legal viewpoint.

He also said that only 15 to 25 aid trucks enter Gaza daily after being inspected, adding that the Zionist regime has caused aid items to be spoiled by refusing to observe storage standards.

The Iranian official also denounced the Israeli regime for striking Red Crescent medical centers, which has severely hampered treatment for patients and people getting injured during the regime’s attacks.
