Following efforts made by Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice, and the Iranian embassy in Moscow, two Iranian nationals who were imprisoned in a Russian jail have been transferred to the Islamic country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it attaches priority to pursuing Iranians’ legal and consular rights abroad.
Both countries underlined the need for enhancing consular cooperation in the 8th joint consular meeting between Iran and Russia, which was held in the capital Moscow in November 2023.
