During a meeting on Wednesday, the two sides discussed issues of Palestine and called for strengthening political, economic, and trade ties between the two countries.

Amirabdollahian underscored that supporting Palestine is a principled and fundamental policy in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and they consider Hamas a freedom-seeking front that fights for the liberation of its land from occupation.
Slamming the US's attempts to label Hamas as terrorists, the top Iranian diplomat termed the Islamic Resistance Movement as a manifestation of the will of the Palestinians to free their land from the occupation of the occupying Zionist regime.
Amirabdollahian said that the Islamic Resistance Movements have modern and democratic ideas for governing Gaza after the war, but some sides should not tie the fate of war to this issue, stressing the need for effective and immediate action by the international community to stop the war against Gaza before the holy month of Ramadan.
Musa Timothy Kabba, for his part, said that his country is interested in developing bilateral cooperation and deepening friendly relations with Iran, considering the importance of Iran's position and capabilities in various fields.
Referring to the deep-rooted and stable ties between Iran and Sierra Leone, he welcomed cooperation with Iran in the fields of energy, science and technology.
The Sierra Leonean diplomat expressed his deep concern regarding the situation in Gaza. He also reiterated his country's long-term support for Palestine.
The diplomat emphasized the importance of reflecting the voice of Palestinians to the world and called for immediate efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza.
During the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC)'s extraordinary meeting in recent days, Sierra Leone strongly condemned attacks on people and civilian infrastructure, the imposition of mass punishment, and the forced displacement of the Palestinian people.
