Pro-Palestine protesters demand end to UK arms exports to Israel

London-IRNA - Pro-Palestinian protesters have blocked the entrance to an arms exhibition in Bristol, the United Kingdom, in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.

The protesters chanted slogans demanding an end to British arms exports to the Zionist regime while carrying banners and placards denouncing the UK government’s military support for the occupying regime, IRNA’s correspondent in London reported on Tuesday.

One protester, speaking to IRNA, said “arms dealers at this exhibition are complicit in Israel's genocide in Gaza. We gathered here to declare that we will not be accomplice to their crimes.”

Simultaneously, another group of demonstrators gathered outside the headquarters of Smith Metal in Bedfordshire and sprayed the walls of the building with red paint.

The company is accused of supplying spare parts for F-35 fighter jets to the Israeli military.

A spokesperson for the Action for Palestine movement said, “As the occupation's brutality persists, we will escalate our actions against Israel's war machine.”

Pro-Palestinian protesters have been organizing anti-Israeli rallies across the UK since the beginning of the war in Gaza in early October.

British authorities have been attempting to quash the campaign.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak warned against anti-Israeli protests in the UK, claiming that democracy is being targeted by extremists.
