Raisi on Saturday met his Bolivian counterpart Luis Arce in Algiers, Algeria, on the sidelines of the 7th Summit of the Heads of State of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).
The Iranian president appreciated the “revolutionary and anti-imperialistic” stance of the Bolivian government, and praised its strong support for the people of Palestine and Gaza.
He also said that Iran has no obstacle to develop ties with Bolivia.
Arce said on his part that Bolivia considers Iran as “a friend”, and that stances of the two countries on many international issues are close to each other.
He also said that Bolivia cut ties with Israel following the regime’s genocide in Gaza, adding that enemies inside and outside Bolivia launched a propaganda campaign and psychological warfare against Bolivian people and government.
