Israel has yet to approve draft ceasefire deal with Hamas: Hamdan

Tehran, IRAN – Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan has underlined that a draft truce deal with the Israeli regime on prisoner swap has not been finalized in Paris negotiations yet.

Hamdan told Al-Araby TV network that the Israeli side has refused to agree with a draft ceasefire deal proposed by the United States. Paris is hosting new rounds of talks for prisoner swap and humanitarian ceasefire.

According to the Palestinian resistance official, the US-proposed draft deal and talks on the number of prisoners in this swap deal are part of a deceptive way used by the occupying regime to buy time for a future attack on the Gaza Strip.

On Saturday, the Israeli regime’s war cabinet also allowed a delegation to visit Qatar for further negotiations on a ceasefire deal.

Riyadh-based Al Arabiya TV channel had also reported that the Qatari capital city Doha hosted a new round of negotiations on a ceasefire in Gaza, which was attended by representatives from the Israeli regime, Hamas, and mediators from Qatar, Egypt and the US.

The Egyptian capital city Cairo also hosted negotiations at the high-ranking level among American, Qatari and Israeli representatives early February with the aim of finding a way to halt the war on Gaza, but that round of talks bore no tangible fruit.

Despite all efforts made to force the Israeli regime to stop the onslaught on Gaza, the regime’s military forces continue war crimes in the southern Gaza Strip and plan to create another humanitarian tragedy this time in Rafah city.
