Samantha Power called it "unfortunate" to allow only 85 trucks carrying humanitarian aid to enter Gaza last week, the Al Jazeera network quoted her saying in Jordan on Monday.
This is despite the fact that before the Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip, an average of 500 trucks were carrying aid to Gaza every day.
In a video message posted on social media she the USAID chief said: All goods in the Worl Foood Programme (WFP) warehouse in Jordan should be sent to Gaza and the "catastrophic hunger" situation in this region should be ended.
Although the United States claims that Israel must agree to allow more aid to enter Gaza, Washington has put little pressure on the regime to do so. While at the same time, the Biden administration is working with Congress to send more than $14 billion in additional aid to Israel.
The US and some of its western allies have been pumping financial and military aid to Israel that has emboldened the regime to keep pressing ahead with genocide in Gaza.
