Born in 1943 in the holy Iraqi city of Najaf, Mousavi Bojnourdi started his journey of learning religious sciences at a young age.
Over three decades, he acquired Islamic teachings from various renowned scholars, especially Imam Khomeini (RA), the founder of the Islamic Revolution.
Mousavi Bojnourdi gained recognition in 2005 due to his outstanding research in the fields of Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and law.
Throughout his career, he served as a member of Iran’s Supreme Judicial Council and was an active participant in the Association of Combatant Clerics.
On Monday, Mousavi Bojnourdi was laid to rest in Imam Khomeini’s mausoleum in southern Tehran.
