Globes made the claim in an apparent move to damage the Yemeni government’s international status and to introduce it as a threat to the world.
Based on the newspaper’s claim, at least four undersea cables were damaged at a distance between Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and Djibouti in East Africa.
Such damage could interrupt communications between continents of Asia and Europe, according to the claim.
Although Israel is trying to introduce the Yemeni Army as the cause of insecurity in the Red Sea, Yemen’s telecommunications ministry has already declared that Sanaa’s approach follows the preservation of undersea cables crossing Bab al-Mandab and the Sea.
The Yemeni Army has repeatedly said that it will continue the imposition of restrictions on vessels affiliated with Israel until the regime ends its deadly war against Palestinians.
Since the start of the war in Gaza in October 2023, over 29,000 Palestinians, mostly children and women, have been killed in Gaza.
