No Iranian missiles being sent to Russia: Ukrainian official

Tehran, IRNA- A senior Ukrainian military official has categorically rejected reports that the Iranian ballistic missiles are being sent to Russia.

Kyrylo Oleksiyovych Budanov, chief of the main directorate of intelligence of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, said he had no knowledge of any shipment of Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia, RBC Ukraine reported on Sunday.

“There are no (Iranian) missiles (in Russia's possession). All of these reports are incorrect,” he said.

Budanov also mentioned that Russia has launched several missiles received from North Korea against Ukraine, but the assertion that their use has been widespread is untrue.

Earlier, Reuters news agency claimed, citing informed sources, that Iran had exported 400 ballistic missiles to Russia.

Iran's Mission to the United Nations said on Friday that Iran was not legally prohibited from selling ballistic missiles, but the Islamic Republic was “morally obligated” to refrain from arms deals during the Russia-Ukraine conflict to prevent further escalation based on international law and the UN Charter.
