“Based on media reports, Instagram has blocked certain pages associated with Ayatollah Khamenei's website because of the support for the oppressed people of Palestine,” Ayatollah Khamenei’s page on X said in a statement on Tuesday.
It added that Khamenei.ir has protested against the move, calling on Instagram to respect professional standards.
Meta removed the Persian- and English-language accounts belonging to Ayatollah Khamenei earlier this month following intensified pressure from pro-Israel groups.
The Supreme Leader’s Persian-language account had more than 5.1 million followers and his English-language account had more than 204,000.
