Destruction around Gaza’s Nasser Hospital “indescribable”: WHO

Tehran, IRNA – The World Health Organization (WHO) has said that the destruction around Gaza’s Nasser Hospital is “indescribable”.

In a statement on Tuesday, WHO said that Nasser Hospital has no electricity or running water, and that medical waste and garbage are creating a breeding ground for disease.

The organization cited reports by its staff that described the destruction around the hospital as “indescribable”.

“The area was surrounded by burnt and destroyed buildings, heavy layers of debris, with no stretch of intact road,” the statement said.

Palestine’s Red Crescent has said that the forces of the Israeli regime are shooting at the third floor of Amal Hospital in western Khan Younis, which has caused fire in two rooms in the southeastern section of the hospital.

It added that a delegation from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) are present in the yard of the hospital while the Israeli forces continue to shoot at the aid workers.
