Suspicious package found at Netanyahu’s office

Tehran, IRNA – A suspicious package was found at Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office.

Some Israeli media outlets reported late on Sunday that security forces and forensic medicine teams entered Netanyahu’s office, according to Sama news agency.

The Israeli regime’s security organizations continue investigation into the issue, but it is not still clear who sent the suspicious package to the premier’s office.

The incident occurred just one week after a settler threatened Netanyahu with a death threat. The Israeli regime’s police arrested the settler on February 12.

The short history of the Israeli regime has seen some attacks on senior Israeli officials. For instance, former Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated by a Zionist settler in 1995.

Polls show resentment against Netanyahu grows among Israeli settlers. A new survey by Channel 12 of the regime indicates 51 percent of the Zionists call for snap elections and the impeachment of the prime minister.

On Saturday night, thousands of settlers poured onto streets in the Israeli-occupied territories, calling for Netanyahu’s immediate resignation. These calls have been mounted following his cabinet’s failure to return Israeli captives from Gaza and the devastating war on the strip.
