He made the remark in a meeting with Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid in Baghdad on Wednesday.
The top Iranian judicial official said that Tehran and Baghdad should strongly pursue the security agreements they have signed to thwart enemies’ threats against the security of both countries.
Reiterating Iran’s support for Iraq’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty, Mohseni Ejeie said that Iran has always been backing the establishment of security in Iraq and this support will continue in the future.
The two countries should make a pledge not to let terrorist groups take the least measure, the official said, stressing that these groups have specific missions from enemies and arrogant powers to threaten the security of Iran and Iraq.
Mohseni Ejei arrived in Iraq at the head of a high-ranking judicial delegation on Tuesday upon an invitation by Chairman of the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council Faiq Zidane.
